Challenge
Creating a comprehensive government-grade application system that handles complex multi-step forms, secure payment processing, document management, and workflow automation while maintaining strict security standards and compliance with UK government requirements. The challenge included building a scalable architecture that could handle high-volume applications with 13 different status states and multi-role user management.
Solution
Implemented a robust Laravel-based architecture with MySQL database, integrated PayTabs payment gateway for secure transactions, and created a sophisticated workflow management system. Built separate interfaces for public applicants and administrative users with role-based access control. Developed real-time AJAX updates, comprehensive file management, and automated email notification systems. Used Alpine.js for frontend interactivity and Tailwind CSS for responsive design.
