Timezone is the practical reason Egypt-based developers work well for European and Gulf clients. UTC+2 is the same working day as Berlin and Johannesburg, one hour from London, and one hour from Riyadh. There is no overnight handoff and no waiting a day for an answer.
The second reason is bilingual delivery. A system for a Saudi or Emirati client usually needs a genuine right-to-left Arabic interface, not a machine translation bolted onto a left-to-right layout. That is a build decision made at the start, and it is far cheaper than retrofitting it later.
When comparing candidates anywhere, ask for the same three things: a live URL you can open, the name of the client who paid for it, and what specifically changed for that client after launch. Portfolios that cannot supply all three are showing you templates.
